Hannah Castle Hannah Castle, daughter of Joseph and Eunice (Powers) Castle, was born circa 1832 in Russell Co., VA and died circa 1913. She married Jessie Salyer on May 19, 1861 in Russell Co., VA. Jessie was the son of Daniel David and Sarah (Green) Salyer. During the 1860s, Hannah and Jessie lived in Hancock Co., TN. About 1874, they moved to Wise Co., VA. Their children were: Virgina Salyer, Helen Salyer Vance, Sarah F. Salyer Burke, Mary Salyer, Abraham Salyer, and William Salyer.

She married William Salyer, son of Jonathan and Lydia Salyer. Their children were: Eunice Salyer Baker, Lydia Salyer Meade, Esther Salyer Porter Stapleton, William H. Salyer, Nancy Jane Salyer, James M. Salyer, Hannah Salyer, Robert Shanklin Salyer, and John H. Salyer.
Malinda Castle Malinda Castle, daughter of Joseph and Eunice (Powers) Castle, was born circa 1825 in Russell Co., VA and died after 1900. She married James "Jim" Salyer on April 23, 1843 in Scott Co., VA. Jim was the son of Samuel and Sarah (Castle) Salyer. Their children were: Samuel Patton Salyer, Joseph D. Salyer, Peter C. Salyer, Hannah Salyer Dean, Esther Salyer Nickels, William Salyer, Lucinda Salyer, Eliza Salyer, James Salyer, Henry C. Salyer, Jacob L. Salyer, John M. Salyer, and George Salyer. |
