Point Truth Primitive Baptist Church of Nickelsville, VA Minutes for the years 1866 - 1876 Transcribed exactly as written including misspellings and grammatical errors. August 25th day 1866 The Point Truth Church was formely an arm of copper creek Church and on the above date became a constitution of her own and was constituted by the name of Point Truth Church. By Elder Meradith Evans and Hiram H. Kilgore upon the Regular baptist principals, and the said presbytery, called on Elder Morgan T. Lipps to assist and said Lipps preached the constitutional sermon and the members, composeing the church tuck their seats, then the declaration of faith being read and adopted the church and its order and covenant was read and also adopted, then they sang a song whilst giving the right hand of fellowship to each other in token of their love to God and each other, faithfully promising to strictly attend their Church meetings.
